Bortolomiol S.p.A. is an Estate that produces principally Prosecco DOC. The family, which originates from Valdobbiadene, has behind them 2 centuries of wine producing experience that first started with the vines of their ancestor Bartolomeo. Founded in 1949 by Giuliano Bortolomiol, currently remains under the direction of the founders with the wife and daughters employed in diverse roles.
The adventure of Giuliano Bortolomiol started in 1949 when, astride his little motorbike and with a few bottles in his saddlebags, started his mission to convert the people from the other side of The Piave River to the delights and quality of Prosecco wine. An important development in Giulianois plan was to found the “Fraternity of Prosecco” and the National Sparkling Wine Exhibition (today known as the sparkling wines) in 1962.
By tradition, imagination, formal development and intuition Giuliano was a sparkling wine maker par excellence. The development of the Charmat method and the characteristics that enhance it were the result of many years of experiment in the wineries of Bortolomiol; wineries that became well noted for their excellence in the development of fermentation in pressure tanks. The most important success was the realization of Prosecco Brut in 1960 at a time when it was unthinkable to considering a dry wine from a traditionally sweet wine like Prosecco.

Prosecco, Valdobbiadene
Classical and gently sweet. "Banda Rossa" because Giuliano Bortolomiol would use a red mark to distinguish special selection bottles, those for his dearest friends.
This dry style prosecco is full of style! Its tiny
bubbles break open with scents of freshly baked
bread, leading to a creamy palate full of crisp
apples and pears with a finish that is both dry
and refreshing.
A great alternative to any brut Champagne or
Sparkling Wine. Try as a spritzer with fruit wine or
by itself making every day a celebration! For fun –
enjoy this with Sushi!
