Corte Marzago
Corte Marzago, from the surname of a family that owned this land for many generations, was originally a convent built in the XVI century; it has been place of hard work in the countryside: vineyards and olives were the traditional growings, and so are today. It's fifty acres stretch all along the magnificent scenario of the morainic hills surrounding the South-Eastern shore of Garda lake, next to Verona, one of the most beutiful italian cities. The location just outside the old and pleasant village of Salionze, between Valeggio sul Mincio and Peschiera del Garda, is right in the heart of Bianco di Custoza's and Bardolino's production area, where love for good wine is realized at it's best. Light gravel soil in fact, but especially micro-climatic conditions allow an extraordinary range of different wines, all unique for their deep and pleasant fragrance, slightly aromatic and full bouquet. Thanks to strong commitment to continous quality improvement, we can develop our mission: making the most of our grapes. Hard work and great care either in the vineyards and the cellar are our guidelines to do so. LE BUGNE ROSSO VERONESE, BARDOLINO SUPERIORE, BARDOLINO CHIARETTO, BIANCO DI CUSTOZA, GARDA CHARDONNAY and PASSITO DI GARGANEGA VERONESE, all in limited quantities. However, Corte Marzago dosen't regards just wine; Extra Vergin Olive Oil, and our Bardolino and Chardonnay "grappe" represent the prosecution of the local rural tradition. Therefore everything is in compliance with passion for wine at Corte Marzago: from vine-growing to manual vintage, from Wine-making at constantly controlled temperature to up-to-date techniques of bottling. We do all this in order to have the highest possible control on our wines. This concept rises from one simple reason; we, at Corte Marzago, strongly belive that quality takes source directly from vineyards, and this must be wine lover's perception while tasting. Therefore all our efforts are addressed towards the achievement of such a goal: then, sharing it with you will be our joy!
